Privacy
What this website collects, which is very little.
Who I am
This website is run by Sarah Fenn, a sole trader trading as Sarah Fenn Consulting. I am responsible for any personal information collected through it, and I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller, registration number ZC234760.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no tracking cookies and uses no analytics, and I do not record anything about your visit. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
The one thing stored on your device is your choice of light or dark theme, saved in your browser so the site remembers it next time. It stays on your device, contains no personal information, and is only saved because you pressed the button. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Getting in touch
If you use the contact form or email me, I receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, company and message. I use them to reply to you and to discuss possible work, nothing else. The legal basis for this is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about my work.
I do not sell your details or pass them to anyone else, apart from the services that run this website and my email (Cloudflare, Web3Forms and Microsoft 365), which handle them on my behalf. I do not add you to a mailing list (I have no mailing lists).
How long information is kept
If we do not end up working together, I delete your message within 36 months.
If we do work together, records are kept as long as needed for the engagement and for the periods UK business and tax rules require. The data protection terms for that work are set out in my consulting agreement, which we both sign before any work starts.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how I use it. Email [email protected] and I will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me and I will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This site links to other websites, including LinkedIn and Vantage Online. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies rather than this one.
