About me

Twelve years in office technology, around a hundred implementations, and a long-standing habit of project managing everyone and everything in sight.

My career in IT software consultancy and business analysis started in 2013, but project management has been at my core since I could say the phrase.

I've worked in: implementation, professional services, operations management, customer success, and development management, helping companies with stock control, engineer and service management, call control, meter billing, SOP, POP, contract and invoice management, and general business management; for small businesses and large, across the private and public sectors.

Sarah Fenn Consulting began in 2025. My expertise lies in managed print services, but the industry has changed constantly, and I've kept evolving with it, more recently delving more into the managed IT sector of office technology. As a freelance consultant I specialise in data migration, cleansing, report writing, data analysis and training, supporting companies through digital transformation, change management, and mergers and acquisitions.

I've worked with more than 200 copier dealers, predominantly in the UK and Ireland, over fifty of those on site and on the ground, with staff at every level of admin and management, including directors and stakeholders. I've also worked with a lot of integration partners, from DCAs to toner suppliers, Printanista to Katun. Around a hundred full software implementations later, I still enjoy bringing that experience back to the industry.

Where I've been useful

  • Data migrations between service management platforms, including post-acquisition merges of live datasets.
  • Profitability and contract reporting built from data that nobody had managed to make sense of.
  • End-to-end implementations, from scoping through to the point where staff are using the system with confidence.
  • Automation and integration assistance, where nobody knew where to start, let alone how to implement change.

Away from the laptop

I'm with my family, doing pre-school pick-ups, travelling the world where possible, studying the Korean language, and leading a fantastic local community of mums where I organise rather a lot of events. It turns out you can't leave project management at the study door.
